2. Recent negative test for SARS-CoV-2

People whose place of residence or habitual abode is in Germany can access rapid antigen tests for SARS-CoV-2 free of charge. Rapid antigen tests are provided at test centres in the state capital of Dresden. Test results are valid for 24 hours.

According to the new regulation issued in Saxony to protect against Covid-19, we can no longer accept self-tests that are carried out at home.

Self-tests cannot be taken under the supervision of our gate staff at the entrance to the Zoo.

The following options are available for presenting your negative test result at the gate:

  • Mobile test centre outside the zoo on weekends and public holidays:

Opening hours: Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 08:30 to 16:00

You do not need to book a slot at the test centre in advance.

Location: Zoo car park

Tests are performed by medically trained staff from cor*ictu Praxisdienstleistung. The test centre is certified by the City of Dresden Health Department. Free rapid PoC tests are available here for all citizens. Results are available within 15 to 20 minutes.

What do I need? A health card or ID card to confirm the identity and contact details of the person being tested. In order to speed up the process, please complete the form below with your contact details before you arrive.
