More than seven playgrounds & our Zoo Kasper
Our young visitors can look forward to lots of playgrounds for running about, climbing and swinging, as well as the exciting adventures of our zoo’s very own puppet Kasper (free of charge). Go to children’s pages
Restaurant, café & snacks
Eating at the zoo
We are pleased to offer four different gastronomic facilities:
Enjoy a beer garden atmosphere beneath the shady trees at the “Afrika Lodge” (open during high season) next to Lemur Island. Our gastronomic partner ElbeZeit welcomes you with a wide range of different saisonal dishes.
Have a snack at the “Kangaroo Stop” near the vulture aviary, where our younger visitors can do some speedy laps on the scooters, or take place in the new “Penguin Café” (opens in spring of 2018), which is situated next to its namesake birds in the eastern section of the zoo.
Conferences and celebrations
Our rooms are also available for conferences and celebrations. Just get in touch!
